BigCommerce Adding Jobs In Austin

Software developer BigCommerce has recently acquired venture capital to expand its product offerings and increase sales and marketing efforts from its offices in Austin and Sydney Australia, according to a recent story in the Austin American-Statesman.

The company provides web services to small and medium-sized businesses, creating internet storefronts, shopping carts, marketing tools, mobile applications, and social networking programs. They’ve launched over 20,000 online stores over the past two years and growth in clients means growth in jobs for the 8 year old company. Currently, BigCommerce has 45 employees in Austin and plans to double by the end of this year. Executive level roles are available as well, including Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Marketing. Sales and tech support positions will also be available.

According to their website, here are some facts about BigCommerce:

      • Fastest growing e-commerce platform
      • 680% growth in the last year
      • Over 15,000 paying clients
      • Over 200,000 email subscribers
