PSW Homes was featured in an article in today’s (7.21.11) Austin American-Statesman, recognizing the custom builder and developer for their recent success and pipeline of future home sales. PSW takes a unique approach by focusing on highly desirable infill locations, energy efficient homes at an attractive price. According to the article, they have 137 units built, planned, or under construction in Austin and plans to build 40 to 50 annually over the next few years. Sales at their current project on Robert E. Lee Road near Zilker Park are almost complete with the project having just recently broken ground.
Shonda Novak contacted Mark Sprague, Director of Business Development for Mission Mortgage, to request his input on PSW’s approach and success.
Mark Sprague, who tracks the local housing market, said PSW “represents a growing group of young entrepreneurial builders that are being highly successful in filling a niche of eco-conscious affordable homes” in central areas.
As we struggle underneath the national economic picture, locally, those who are buying are focusing more on location. Central locations provide access to an active lifestyle in Austin and infill projects serve what’s currently in demand.

A look at PSW’s website immediately conveys the style and approach of their focus. A site plan for Zilker Terrace, the property on Robert E. Lee, shows the three units that are still available, truly within walking distance to Zilker Park and Barton Springs Pool. Renderings provide a peek at the design plans.
