Four Things To Do In Austin This Week

1. The Fredericksburg Crawfish Festival will feature Cajun food, arts and crafts, and family-friendly activities on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday along Main Street, with a Gumbo Cook-Off on Saturday. Click here for more information.

2. The Paramount Theatre Summer Film Series begins this weekend and a special scavenger hunt will be staged in conjunction with the showing of Richard Linklater’s Dazed and Confused. The scavenger hunt starts at 2:00 pm Saturday and the film screens Saturday at 9:00 pm and Sunday at 4:30 pm. Find out more by clicking here.

3. The Rock ‘n Run 5K will take place at The Backyard on Sunday evening. The band Deadman will take the stage while the participants complete their run. Spectator seating is also available for those who just want to Rock. Click here for the complete details.

4. So many shows, so little time. Here are our live music suggestions for this week: Legs Against Arms at Skinny’s Ballroom on Friday, Pink Floyd Tribute at Seaholm Power Plant on Saturday, The Mau Mau Chaplains at Flamingo Cantina on Sunday, and Raul Malo at Antone’s on Tuesday. Get out there and enjoy the music!
