Four Things To Do In Austin This Week

This feature highlights four events or activities in Austin and the surrounding area every week. If you have suggestions for events to be mentioned, please email them to info@missionmortgage.com.

1. Baseball fans should head out to Dell Diamond this weekend to see Josh Hamilton continue his rehab assignment with the Round Rock Express. Hamilton has been a star outfielder for the Texas Rangers and was the American League Most Valuable Player last year. Saturday is also his 30th birthday. Click here for the details.

2. Take part in a no cost session of yoga on Saturday at the Barton Springs Pool at 10:00 am. The class is appropriate for all ages and skill levels and a great way to try it out. For experienced yoga practitioners, the setting is an ideal location for a yoga session. Click here for more information.

3. D.L. Hughley performs comedy at the Cap City Comedy Club this weekend. Best known for his comedy TV show The Hughleys, he started in stand up and most say his best work is still on stage in front of a live theater audience. If you want to laugh this weekend, click here.

4. Live music in Austin has something for everyone. Here are four very different bands that we are recommending this week. Del Castillo plays Nutty Brown Cafe on Saturday, Alpha Rev at Oasis on Saturday, Airborne Toxic Event at La Zona Rosa on Sunday, and Primus at Stubb’s on Tuesday. Enjoy the music everyone!
