Four Things To Do In Austin This Week

1.  Shop and promote Earth Day at the same time all day Friday. Select businesses will donate 5% of their sales to six earth-friendly organizations including Hill Country Conservancy and Friends of Barton Springs Pool. Participating retailers include Bookpeople, Whole Earth, Shady Grove, Wheatsville Co-op, Alamo Drafthouse South, and many, many more. For the complete list, click here.

2.  The Fusebox Festival starts this weekend and runs through May 1 offering a wide variety of indie performance art at multiple venues around town. Click here to check out the schedule.

3.  The Funky Chicken Coop Tour showcases backyard coops in Austin on Saturday. If you want to raise chickens, this tour is a must. Ask questions, receive tips, get design ideas, and more. For more information, click here.

4.  Looking for some live music suggestions? Try Cut Copy at Stubb’s on Friday, Authority Zero at Emo’s on Sunday, Mumford and Sons at 4th and Waller on Tuesday, and Citizen Cope at Cactus Café doing an acoustic set on Wednesday.
