Natasha brings a vibrant color palette to the walls of the gallery, with a variety of subject matter ranging from natural scenes to elements of city life. Her style blends Realism and Impressionism to create a unique approach to oil painting that captures the eye and the imagination. Her works have a quality that draws you into the painting, transporting the viewer into the scene.
We are excited to provide Natasha with her debut public showing and we think it will be the first of many to come. Visiting with the artist, we quickly found that her travels have provided an enormous amount of inspiration for her paintings and, yet, she also finds subject matter closer to home as well. Says Natasha,
“Maybe it’s my memories of Europe or my love of travel, but my art seems to always represent cities. I love the feeling that a city scene painting can give you and I am always drawn to them. Whether it is a small alleyway in a little German village, with quaint wooden doorways and flowers in the window, a waterway in Venice, Italy with the view from a seat in a gondola or even a dark eerie street in London, England; there is something that intrigues me and I have to capture it.”
Focusing on capturing the mood of a moment, Natasha is able to take a simple subject and give it quality and depth. A window or a staircase become strong focal points. A peaceful scene conjures peaceful feelings. Natasha shares with us her thoughts.
“Another direction I enjoy is to capture a small portion of a whole picture. A quaint, intimate moment that has caught my eye and in some way is peaceful to gaze upon. Simple concepts such as perspective can be so fascinating. This perspective lets the streets and buildings move into the distance and draw the viewer’s eye around the entire piece. This movement gives me the opportunity to make my viewer become part of the painting and discover new and intriguing details they may have never noticed before. Above all, I believe the feeling and experience a person gets from art is the most important.”
We welcome Natasha Bonfond to the Gallery at Mission Mortgage and thank her for sharing her incredible talent with us.

ABOUT THE GALLERY AT MISSION MORTGAGE
The Gallery at Mission Mortgage was opened with the intent to help local Austin artists gain exposure to their artwork while providing our office with color and style. We select new artists every quarter and they display their artwork for our employees, partners, clients, and guests. The gallery is located just outside of our new training center allowing us to share the work with those who visit us for MCE classes, first time homebuyer classes, and market update presentations.
Each artist who displays with us is asked to donate one piece for an auction, with proceeds benefitting a local, Austin charity. The charity is selected by the artist and Mission Mortgage and is just one way we give back to the community that has allowed us so much success over the years.
Please visit our website for more information about Natasha Bonfond and the previous artists who have been featured in the Gallery at Mission Mortgage.
