Travis County Property Tax Meetings

For the next few weeks, Travis County will be hosting a series of free town hall meetings with county officials who will provide information and field questions regarding property taxes.  Chief Appraiser Patrick Brown and Tax Assessor and Collector Nelda Wells Spears will attend the meetings.

The open invitation is intended to allow residents to ask questions about property taxes in an effort to become more informed. Understanding the various aspects of property taxes in Travis County should be important to every tax payer.

Among possible topics:
–¬†Property taxes and rates
– Available exemptions
– Home valuations
– Appraisal protest process

All meetings are from 6:30 – 8:00 pm.

Monday, March 28, 2011 at Pflugerville Community Library (102 10th St)
Tuesday, March 29, 2011 at Lakeway Activity Center (105 Cross Creek)
Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Laura Bush Community Library (9411 Bee Cave Road)
Thursday, April 7, 2011 at Jonestown Community Library (18649 FM 1431, Suite 10A)
Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Leander Public Library. CANCELLED.
