Four Things To Do In Austin This Week

This feature highlights four events or activities in Austin and the surrounding area every week. If you have suggestions for events to be mentioned, please email them to info@missionmortgage.com.

1. Kevin Nealon, of Saturday Night Live fame, brings his comedy to Cap City Comedy Club on Friday, Saturday, and next Tuesday. Click here for all the details.

2. Wanna run? The Cap10K will take place on Sunday morning and is sure to bring out thousands of runners, many of whom will dress up for the event. If you don’t feel like running, grab a spot along the side and cheer for your favorite costumes. How many Charlie Sheens do you think will be there? For more information, click here.

3. The Found Footage Festival 2011 will take place at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz (downtown) next Wednesday night. For a hilarious look at some uncovered film treasures, complete with narration and commentary, you won’t want to miss this. Click here for more.

4. South By is over, but the live music keeps coming! In a very rare U.S. appearance, Twilight Circus plays at ND at 501 Studios on Saturday. I also recommend local band Moving Matter at Ruta Maya on Friday, EOTO at La Zona Rosa on Saturday, and Devo at ACL Live on Sunday.
