Four Things To Do In Austin This Week

This feature highlights four events or activities in Austin and the surrounding area every week. If you have suggestions for events to be mentioned, please email them to info@missionmortgage.com.

1. March Madness is upon us and in full gear this weekend. Friday concludes the round of 64, and Saturday and Sunday will determine who makes the Sweet 16. Catch all the action at sports bars around town. We recommend Third Base at Mopac and 6th, Champion’s at 4th and Trinity, and Doc’s Backyard at Brodie and Hwy 290.

2. Wildflower Days at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center features artists and artisans displaying their work on Friday and Saturday. Showcasing more than 20 artists in a variety of styles and media. Click here for more info.

3. Time to get the golf clubs out and start swinging! The Harvey Penick Golf Campus hosts the Central Austin League for 9-hole Open Play every Saturday morning. You can even try it out before joining the league. For more details, please click here.

4. SXSW is in full swing with hundreds of bands in town this weekend. For those without badges or wristbands, we suggest the following showcases: Auditorium Shores on Friday, Lucky Lounge on Saturday during the day, Lustre Pearl on Saturday night, and Antone’s on Sunday night. Check out do512.com for complete details on all the South By shows this weekend.
