The SXSW Hiring Hub

Next week, the world converges on Austin, Texas for the 25th South By Southwest (SXSW) film, interactive, and music conference.  The conference is geared towards industry insiders and those who are trying to become the next big thing, whether film maker, application designer, or musician. This year, SXSW will also be working to help those in attendance get jobs from companies who will be in Austin for the festival.

The Hiring Hub is an interactive, online-based job hunt.  Companies who will be presenting, sponsoring, or otherwise taking part in SXSW will have the opportunity to showcase their job openings to the thousands of people who will be attending the conference. Monster.com will provide the system to help match potential employees with eager employers.

Due to the nature of the SXSW conference, some of the world’s most creative and innovative minds will be in town from March 11 – 20, 2011.  Many of those people will be seeking jobs and the conference organizers and Monster.com recognized the opportunity to help companies fill their current openings.

The Hiring Hub opened on March 4 and will remain open throughout the conference. Monster.com will have a booth at the trade show exhibition hall specifically featuring the Hiring Hub. There will also be networking opportunities for prospective employees to talk with potential employers. An interactive job posting board will help those in attendence learn more about the positions that companies are hoping to fill.
