1. The Fredericksburg Food and Wine Fest is this Saturday featuring over 100 wines from 25 different wineries, plus guest chefs and live music. Check out Jeff Lofton, Jazz Trumpeter at 2:00 pm. Event details can be found here.
2. Arthouse celebrates its Grand Re-opening on Sunday from noon to 8 pm at 7th and Congress. Come see the newly remodeled space and enjoy art lectures, music, food and 6 new art exhibits. See more at their website.
3. The 2010 Austin Film Festival kicks off this weekend at locations around the city. We recommend Echotone, a story about Austin musicians featuring Black Joe Lewis at the Alamo Drafthouse Ritz Saturday at 1:00 pm and My Generation a documentary following students from fictitional Greenbelt High School and set in Austin, showing at 4:00 pm on Sunday. 4. Playing for Change, an incredible viral web phenomenon, brings its global sound to Antone’s on Saturday. If you haven’t seen this before, you must check out the website. Also in town this weekend, Stone Temple Pilots at the Backyard and Gorillaz at the Erwin Center on Friday and Toadies at Stubb’s on Saturday.
